CONSTRUCTION
RULES
Our Staff reserves the right to ask you to modify your build to comply with our standards. Staff or Build Team is expected to help you make the changes they request, within reason.
BUILD TEAM
1
CONSTRUCTION LIMITS.
Structures must be appropriately sized for occupants, considering character abilities, available time, and materials. Builds should be realistic and align with our "gritty survival" aesthetic.
Avoid unsupported or gravity-defying structures, and prioritize realism over gameplay optimization.
In rare cases, staff may remove objects. If assistance is needed for removing heavy objects, notify staff via a ticket.
2
RESTRICTED AREAS.
Unrealistic building in order to bypass defenses or to break into restricted event areas is disallowed. Deceitfully claiming a structure as a safehouse in order to destroy it with a sledgehammer falls under this rule, and is similarly not permitted.
3
SAFEHOUSES
Custom safehouses may only be a maximum of 12x12 tiles, and players may only own one safehouse. To have a custom safehouse made, please open a [NEED HELP?] ticket. Safehouses for players and Tier 1 player groups may only be located in Havens. To read more about Havens, click here.

You may not safehouse areas that contain high-tier loot without explicit permission from staff, such as; Police Stations, Gun stores, Malls, Grocery Stores, and Warehouses.
If you are found to have safehoused any of these spawns, the safehouse will be removed and you may face administrative punishment.
4
CLAIMING RULES.
Claiming a safehouse is a mechanical way to keep your belongings safe. Custom safehouses can be requested by staff and may only be 12x12 tiles or equivalent.
Safehouses are mechanically pruned after seven days of inactivity, in which they are subject to be looted, re-safehoused or used by staff for events.
If you are going on an extended leave of absence from our server and would like your safehouse to remain intact, please open a ticket.
5
PLACEABLES LIMITS.
If it is found that your base is the cause of performance issues due to the presence of large numbers of placeables or items on the ground, you will be asked to reduce or remove these objects.
In rare cases, staff may remove objects. If assistance is needed for removing heavy objects, notify staff via a ticket.
6
FENCING/BORDERS + PERIMETERS.
Any fence, border, wall, or perimeter going around a base must be realistic in terms of both structural integrity, and time taken to build. Grandiose defenses cannot be built up in a day, a week, or in some cases, a month.
To keep your base safe, consider first reinforcing buildings directly, before adding perimeter walls gradually as the book progresses. Build Team tickets can be opened to help with this progression.
EXAMPLES OF ACCEPTABLE FENCING
EXAMPLES OF UNACCEPTABLE FENCING
Unacceptable fencing can include things such as floating floors, excessively grandiose walls, or full scale cat-walks. Your fencing needs to be both realistically structurally sound, and realistically achievable materials wise.
7
BUILDING INTERIORS.
Utilize existing structures. Interiors can be modified, but should keep the original floorplan mostly intact.
8
CUSTOM STRUCTURE LIMITS.
Custom structures are not allowed to exceed two floors. They must be realistic and reasonable in their creation; the world is not safe enough to build a mansion. Additionally, Custom Structures should not exceed the custom safehouse limit of 12x12 tiles.
9
TIMESCALE.
Realistically, how quickly could you build and secure a several foot high metal wall, versus a barricade of random junk? Consider this when making your structures. Structures built without appropriate timescaling may be audited and altered by Build Team.
